Sookmyung International Summer School is hosted each summer by Sookmyung Women’s University in the metropolis of Seoul, South Korea. This three-week summer study program invites male and female students from universities around the world to attend up to two college courses during the program. The courses are all taught in English by invited professors from Sookmyung’s partner universities around the world. Classes meet during the week; weekends involve cultural excursions.
Eligibility
All MC students regardless of major or classification are eligible, although only undergraduate credit can be earned.
Academics
Students may take a minimum of one course or a maximum of two courses. Each course taken earns 3 undergraduate credit hours; all credits are transferrable to MC. Each summer, SISS offers approximately 10 different courses from which to choose; course categories change from summer to summer. Fees will be charged according to MC's summer rates. To receive MC credit, students will be charged MC summer tuition rates.
Housing
Accommodations are on SMU property, in the International House or in the Professional Building, which house two or four to a room with air conditioning and bathrooms. Meals are not included.
