Learn and Serve During Spring Break 2026
MC Business and Communication professors Dr. Sara Kimmel and Dr. Mignon Kucia will lead a group to Panama, a country that connects a continent and links the Pacific to the Atlantic via the Caribbean Sea.
Drs. Kimmel and Kucia have partnered with an international non-profit that has provided experiential learning adventures to US students for over 20 years. MC professors and students will work alongside Panamanian business partners to provide consulting services to low-income entrepreneurs.
Students can earn academic credit while gaining real world experience by making. Participants will make a tangible and sustainable difference all while learning the rich African heritage and Spanish influences of this unique country.

In order to enter Panama, passports must be valid six months PAST travel dates
Cost includes:
6 hours of academic credit
Round trip airfare from Jackson
Comfortable, peaceful and safe accommodations
Authentic local cuisine
24 hour on-call coordinator, security and professional transportation
Local guides and traditional cultural activities
Visit to "Casco Viejo," Panama City's oldest neighborhood and the Panama Canal
Total fee calculated summer 2025 but is expected to be less than $3200.
