Transformative French Language Study Awaits
You have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the French culture and language by spending a few days in Paris with faculty before studying at the Institut de Touraine, in Tours, France. Whether for a full fall or spring semester or an 5-week summer program, you will join a diverse cohort of students from around the globe.
Located among charming chateaus, cafes, boutique shopping, lively music venues, and museums, the Institut offers a unique blend of both suburban tranquility and metropolitan excitement, just an hour's train ride west of Paris.
You’ll live with carefully selected host families, ensuring an authentic and supportive semester abroad. The Institut’s meticulous matching process and ongoing visits by staff guarantee a comfortable and welcoming homestay environment, with breakfast and dinner included.
Academics
During the fall and spring semesters, you can earn up to 15 hours of French credit. For French majors, you potentially have the opportunity to earn up to 18 hours of French credit.
In the summer, you will have the chance to earn up to 6 hours of French credit.
You will directly enroll at Mississippi College and earn credit for you coursework completed while abroad. The Department of Modern Languages will provide expert guidance on registration procedures, ensuring a seamless and rewarding international academic experience.

Cost is dependent on the number of hours and the type of accommodations. Not all scholarships apply. Students are responsible for airfare and personal travel.
