Purpose
The Shawreth Order seeks to provide Christian fellowship and brotherhood for male students at Mississippi College, to provide the opportunity for leadership training through service, to serve on campus and in the community, to cooperate with the administrative officers of Mississippi College, to promote scholarship, and to encourage and promote the ideals of a Biblical, Christ-like lifestyle and a standard for excellence among men of Mississippi College.
"Shawreth has a famous phrase we love to go by. “Never fail a brother”. In my time in shawreth, my brothers have never failed to love me, support me, and most importantly push me towards Christ. Everyone in shawreth adds to the club in their own unique way, but we all come together as one when we as a club strive for the club’s principals of devotion, perseverance, and excellence. Shawreth has been the biggest answer to my prayers in my time at Mississippi college. The Lord has blessed me with friendships and memories that will last a life time. It has been an honor to get to see my brothers push each other to excellence, but most importantly to Christ. I’m forever grateful for how these men have showed me Christ and I’m excited to see how the club continues to grow more towards Christ this school year!"
