From 2016-2020, most candidates from MC have been awarded state licensure based on Praxis II Elementary Education (K-6): Content Area and Principles of Learning & Teaching (K-6) exams, exceeding the state and national accreditation requirement of 80%. Teacher candidates at MC are not required to pass the Praxis II to complete the degree program, but the exam is required for state licensure. Graduate Programs: Educational Leadership (M.Ed. & Ed.S.)
Educational Leadership School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) Results
The SLLA exam is required for all candidates in the M.Ed. and Ed.S. Educational Leadership graduate programs seeking an endorsement in Administration and School Leadership with the state of Mississippi. Prior to 09/01/2018 the test number was SLLA 6011 and the passing score for Mississippi was 169. As of 09/01/2018 the test number is SLLA 6990 and the passing score for Mississippi is 151.
