This page was updated on Monday February 14, 2022 to answer questions about ARPA funds.
To receive aid from this source, students must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2022 semester.
Unlike previous CARES grants, international students may also be eligible for these federal funds.
Go to the MCares application. You'll be required to log in with your MyMC credentials to access the application.
Students receiving assistance from the ARPA funds will be offered two choices on how the funds will be distributed to them.
1. Students can authorize Mississippi College to apply the funds to their student account to offset any institutional charges. Any excess funds remaining after applying to eligible charges will be distributed to the student.
2. Students can choose to have the funds distributed directly to them.
If you choose to receive the funds directly, or if you have excess funds after application to your student account, the funds will be distributed through BankMobile using the refund preference indicated on your student account. If you have not chosen a preferred method, please visit our website link at mc.edu/aidrefunds for more information.
The university will use data acquired from the FAFSA, your application, and other sources to determine your eligibility for assistance. Not all students file FAFSA or are eligible to file FAFSA; however, information from the FAFSA will be used to determine award amounts if available.
Once you apply, the university will determine eligibility and notify you via email as quickly as possible.
Priority deadline is March 15, 2022.
