Assistant/Associate Professor - Department of Mathematics
Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in Mathematics, starting in August 2025. The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Mathematics and demonstrate strong instructional skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to students.
Responsibilities:
- Teach approximately 12 hours per week and hold office hours for student counseling and support.
- Utilize technology, including online homework systems, in teaching.
- Develop and teach courses in the university's online program.
- Serve as a resource person for part-time instructors assigned to other mathematics service courses.
- Participate in departmental and campus-wide committees.
- An active research program involving undergraduate students is encouraged.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Mathematics.
- Proven instructional skills and experience.
- Experience with educational technology and online homework systems.
