Six of the most accomplished student-athletes in Mississippi College’s rich history will be formally inducted into the MC Sports Hall of Fame during a banquet scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, in Anderson Hall in the B.C. Rogers Student Center.

Teammates, family members and friends of the MC Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will join MC President Blake Thompson, MC Athletic Director Kenny Bizot, university administrators and MC Sports Hall of Fame Advisory Committee members in honoring Raymond S. “Bo” Bell II ‘11 (baseball), Jennifer Brogdon ’11 (cross country and track and field); JB Brown Jr. ’79 (football); Dr. Tiffany Green ’00 (women’s basketball); Carrie Stafford ’10 (women’s soccer); and Brian Vasquez ’15 (men’s soccer).

“It’s important to appreciate and to celebrate Mississippi College Athletics’ rich history,” said Jake Donald, MC director of alumni and family engagement. “The program that we have at MC is special, and we pride ourselves in not only winning on the field, but also producing great student-athletes off the field.

“Teammates of these student-athletes have been invited to come celebrate with them in what has become a big reunion for many of our inductees, some of whom will be returning to campus for the first time in a long while. We want to make sure that they know we appreciate their hard work, both on and off the field, and the investment that they made in Mississippi College.”

Green said having her family, friends and former coaches together in one place will be the highlight of her evening.

“It is a privilege and honor to be considered and to be recognized,” Green said. “The friendships, the encouragement, the discipline and the boundaries are the treasures that I remember and value from my time at MC. I am so excited to congratulate the other 2025 Class members and celebrate their achievements.

“I am grateful to have been selected and hope to serve as a mentor to others that hard work can lead to athletic results and life achievements.”

Beginning with Mississippi College’s initial four honorees – Harry Craft, James Edwards, Sheriff Lee and Stanley L. Robinson, more than 250 men and women have been enshrined in the MC Sports Hall of Fame.

Donald said nominees are carefully considered by the university’s Sports Hall of Fame Advisory Committee, which is made up of former student-athletes and current MC Sports Hall of Famers. The committee chooses six to eight former student-athletes each year.

“The committee looks at the statistics the student-athletes compiled while they were here, if they made the all-conference team, if they were part of a championship team and whether they represented the mission of Mississippi College,” Donald said. “The committee also reviewed their postgraduate record and how they carried themselves as an MC graduate.”

Green, the 1999 American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year led the conference in three-point field goal percentage, draining the net a whopping 49 percent of the time from behind the arc.

“Our team experiences were all based on pushing each other to be better than we thought we could be,” she said. “I enjoyed the game where I made six three-pointers. The win in Texas when the student fans were on the front row with orange traffic cones, screaming at us and trying to distract us was super sweet.”

After graduating from MC, Green found her future in pediatric dentistry. She completed dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and her residency at the University of Florida. She has been in private practice in Flowood for the last 17 years.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and past president of the Mississippi Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Green serves as a trustee for the Mississippi Dental Association and was recently inducted into the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy.

“My career and time at Mississippi College helped mold and make me into who I am today,” she said. “The education I received and the experiences I had left me without regret. I am not sure I would be where I am today if I had chosen a different pathway.”
