Ashley Krason
Assistant Professor - Modern Languages
Ashley Krason is an Assistant Professor in the Modern Language Department and Coordinator of the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program. Krason joined MC's staff in 2004 as a Residence Life Associate before transitioning to a full-time faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages in 2009. She currently teaching Cross-Cultural Understanding, The Multicultural Classroom, Applied Linguistics, and Sociolinguistics. Her areas of expertise include TESOL, linguistics, and cross-cultural communication.
Krason has been honored as the Distinguished Lecturer for the College of Arts & Sciences (2023) and the Student Success Champion (2023).
Krason attends Arise Church in Clinton and volunteers as a PTO member for Clinton Public School District, where all three of her children attend. She has been the sponsor of Kissimee Social Tribe since 2014 and the faculty athletic mentor for the MC football team since 2020. The highlight of her academic year is the service-learning partnership with Northside and Eastside elementary, where she has had the privilege of overseeing MC students produce a culture fair for 5th graders, raise money for a cultural resource center for the EL teacher, and plan other events like "Celebrate Culture!" for elementary students.
