Dr. David Champagne is a Professor in the Department of Christian Studies. He currently teaches courses on the Old & New Testament, Interpretation of the Bible, History of the Bible, Hebrews, James, and New Testament Greek. His area of expertise is New Testament textual criticism. He helped develop the New Testament Critical Apparatus for the Center for New Testament Textual Studies and he has recently sponsored upper-level Greek students in the Museum of the Bible Greek Paul Project affiliated with the International Greek New Testament Project and the Institute for New Testament Textual Research.

Dr. Champagne’s passion is to know God's Word, teach it to others, and equip students for ministry. His favorite quote is from the 18th-century pastor and textual scholar Johann Albrecht Bengel (1687-1752) "Apply yourself wholly to the text; apply the text wholly to yourself."
