The mission of the MC School of Nursing is aligned with the institutional mission to prepare healthcare professionals to care for diverse populations by demonstrating Christian Caring, utilizing informed clinical judgments, and practicing safe client-centered care.

The MC School of Nursing key verse affirms the faith and learning integration: “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us yes, establish the work of our hands.”  Psalms 90:17 (NIV)

The faculty of the Mississippi College School of Nursing recruits and selects individuals who demonstrate the potential for learning and who express interest in nursing as a profession. The faculty provides the individual with a comprehensive program of educational experiences. The graduate of the School of Nursing should be able to demonstrate a philosophy that is committed to continued personal growth and the service of humankind through the practice of nursing.
